"We have a secret in our culture, and it's not that birth is painful. It's that women are strong."

Placenta Medicine

One-on-one guidance from a doula to support and enhance your placenta care, helping to honor and utilize its benefits during your postpartum healing journey.

The placenta is truly sacred, and I feel it deserves to return to your body, not a lab. In only rare cases might it be unfit for consumption, but most of the time, it remains a beautiful option to consider.

While research on placentophagy—consuming your placenta—might be limited, more and more women are choosing to make it a meaningful part of their postpartum journey. The decision to honor or consume your placenta is so personal, and I’m not here to convince you of anything. My role is to support you, your choices, and your rights when it comes to your birth, your body, and this incredible organ.

The placenta is unique—it’s something you created that has nurtured your baby all these months. There’s nothing like it, and it can’t be replicated. Its significance goes beyond just the physical; it’s spiritual too. However you choose to honor it—whether by consuming it, burying it, or another way—know that you are recognizing the sacredness of your birthing body. I’m here to stand by you, however you decide to make your placenta a part of your journey.

One of the main ways is through consumption by encapsulation. I was trained and am up to date on my current certification. I infuse both safety and reverence into every placenta offering. The yield of capsules will be dependent on the size of your placenta, but average is 70-150.

Helpful Information:

  • Your placenta is intended to work alongside your body’s natural healing processes during the postpartum period,
not as a substitute for any medications.

  • While placenta encapsulation can be beneficial, it will not address a true Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder (PMAD).

  • The encapsulated placenta may provide support on multiple levels: spiritually, emotionally, physically, and nutritionally.

  • You will receive detailed instructions on how to store your capsules and the recommended dosage for optimal benefits.

  • I’m here to answer any questions you may have throughout the process, so don’t hesitate to reach out!
